Students in Ms. Willems’ Environmental Studies elective are diving into the vital principles of Recycling, Reducing, and Reusing—three pillars of sustainability that help protect our planet. Brewster’s 8th Grade Creative Thinking and Problem-Based Learning classes recently embarked on an exciting real-world STEM project that culminated in a memorable study trip to the Wounded Warrior Battalion. This hands-on experience allowed students to engage deeply with the engineering design process by building Sea Perches, which are underwater remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).

This week students from BMS brought joy and warmth to the residents of Carolina Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The 6th grade AVID students and 7th grade AAPS students spent the day volunteering, engaging in heartfelt conversations about life, college and careers with the residents.

The ELA8 classes of Dr. Kay, along with her co-teachers Mrs. Morrison and Mrs. Stoffa, recently transformed their classroom into a vibrant arena of learning and competition. In preparation for their unit test on S.E. Hinton’s classic novel, “The Outsiders,” students participated in a highly competitive game of Jeopardy.
