School Activities
Battle of the Books is a voluntary reading incentive program for students in Grades 6th – 8th, in which students will demonstrate their knowledge of the 20 NCSLMA selected books in a team-based, game show style competition.
We believe that the opportunity for participation in a wide variety of activities is a vital part of a student’s educational experiences. Such participation is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the school, to the activity, to other students, to the community and to the athletes themselves.
The Homework Zone is intended to provide your student with a setting that is quiet, computer accessible and conducive to productivity.
Students can receive help with Math homework; reteaching of grade level material;Â and/or review of grade level skills.
Group discussions on family member deployment, bullying prevention, effective behaviors and conflict resolution skills.
The requirements to participate in sports at Brewster Middle School are not complicated, but require explanation. A student will not be allowed to practice or try out for a team until they are eligible in all areas.
The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is an organization that recognizes middle school students who demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, service, character, and citizenship.

The robotics club will teach students how to plan, build, and program a robot to meet a variety of competitive challenges.
An elected group of student leaders who work with an adult advisor to impact their school community and represent the interest of all students promote harmonious relations throughout the entire school.
A club for students to explore their creativity, discover their artistic interests, and learn about a variety of art mediums.
The goal of the league is to give student athletes the opportunity to learn the game of volleyball and to work on the skills and foundations of the sport.
Yearbook Club is an interactive, hands-on club that involves exposure to yearbook production & photography. Students help create the annual yearbook and monthly newsletters for parents, staff and students.
