Brewster's AVID-Tageous Gift Drive

Brewster's AVID students are thrilled to host a "Gift Drive" for the residents of Carolina Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The drive aims to beneficially foster intergenerational learning, empathy, compassion, communication skills, career inspiration, and build relationships as AVID students gift the residents with blankets, socks, toiletries, and stuffed animals. 

The AVID students will be delivering donations to the residents, where they will have the unique opportunity to interview the residents about their former careers. This activity aims to bridge generations, allowing students to learn from the rich experiences and wisdom of the residents while fostering meaningful connections and supporting the AVID program's WICOR strategies of WRITING, INQUIRY and COLLABORTATION. 

Brewster's AVID students are requesting donations of new unwrapped socks with grippers, lap blankets, stuffed animals, small individually wrapped candy, and toiletries to help residents. Donations will be accepted at the school through Friday, November 8.
